I'm excited to discover and share a deeply inspiring and interesting podcast; Creativity Found by Claire Waite Brown. What I love so much about Claire's work is the complete inclusivity of artists in all their guises. Today I've been listening to the story of Dr Vasu Tolia, an acclaimed paediatric gastroenterologist of over 40 years practice. After leaving medicine due to a toxic work environment, Vasu began to engage in mixed media abstract and semi-abstract painting, ultimately developing her arts practice into a highly successful new career. This podcast cleverly digs into the reasons why individuals often don't have opportunities to fully engage in arts practice in their youth, and also breaks down a subject I feel passionately about; how arts improve health and enrich life.
